BRUNSWICK, GA (October 1, 2025) -- Keep Golden Isles Beautiful (KGIB) has earned national recognition by achieving President’s Circle status for the Keep America Beautiful (KAB) 2025 reporting year.
Through this accomplishment, KGIB has upheld the KAB mission, values and vision. Keep Golden Isles Beautiful maintains certification in the KAB national network through compliance with the KAB annual reporting and fulfillment of the other necessary requirements.
The President’s Circle status is presented for outstanding achievements in community beautification and environmental sustainability. It recognizes exemplary performance and a standard of excellence made by certified affiliates in creating clean, green and beautiful communities. Certified KAB affiliates are required to effect meaningful, positive, and lasting change by directly addressing community needs in the areas of litter prevention, recycling, waste reduction, and beautification. In qualifying for a President’s Circle Award, KGIB has met KAB’s standards of merit by conducting an annual Community Appearance Index, calculating the affiliate’s cost/benefit ratio, and administering activities in the areas of litter prevention, recycling and waste reduction, beautification and community greening.
Established in 1979, Keep Golden Isles Beautiful is led by a two-person staff, a volunteer board of directors and is a volunteer centric educational nonprofit organization. Pictured (L-R): KGIB staff Heather Riviera and Lea King-Badyna.
