2025 KGIB School Recycling Challenge Winners and Results Announced
BRUNSWICK, GA (December 17, 2025) -- With the goal of reducing waste, Keep Golden Isles Beautiful’s 2025 School Recycling Challenge did just that. This fall, 9 local schools took part in the Challenge to collect non-traditional items for recycling. By collecting items not accepted in local curbside recycling programs, participating schools had an immediate and profound impact on reducing landfill waste. Christmas Tree & String Light Recycling Effort Continues Golden Isles Holiday Tradition
BRUNSWICK, GA (November 25, 2025) – A Golden Isles holiday tradition continues with Keep Golden Isles Beautiful’s annual Bring One for the Chipper Christmas tree recycling campaign, sponsored this year by BWC Terminals. KGIB Ultimate Christmas Tree Contest Winners Announced
Kicking off Keep Golden Isles Beautiful’s annual Bring One for the Chipper Christmas tree recycling campaign, The Home Depot in Brunswick recently awarded five local members of the Boys & Girls Club of Southeast Georgia with live Christmas trees of their very own. A local business and organization have been recognized for their efforts in maintaining clean and attractive premises. GOLDEN ISLES RECEIVES GRANT TO SUPPORTLOCAL RECYCLING EFFORTS
