BRUNSWICK, GA (July 06, 2022) -- Green is the name of the game at the 14th annual Keep Golden Isles Beautiful “Clean and Green” golf tournament, where participants have fun on the greens and help keep the Golden Isles “clean and green” at the same time. The excitement takes place on Monday, August 15th at the Brunswick Country Club with an 11:30 AM tournament lunch and a 1:00 PM shotgun start.
Limited to the first twenty teams to register, entry fees for this 4-player scramble are: $100/player (through August 1st, $125 thereafter) and $400/team (through August 1st, $500/team thereafter). Can’t play? Consider sponsoring a hole at $100, slots are still available. NEW THIS YEAR, a hole in one opportunity to win a new vehicle ($35,000 value) from I-95 Toyota.
“The golf tournament is Keep Golden Isles Beautiful’s largest fundraiser,” said Keep Golden Isles Beautiful executive director Lea King-Badyna. “As an educational non-profit we depend on this tournament to raise needed funds to further KGIB’s ongoing and new community improvement programs as well as support the organization’s operation.”
Since 1979, Keep Golden Isles Beautiful has made a difference in Brunswick and Glynn County with beneficial "cleaner and greener" programs, projects and initiatives. As the community's leading organization in community greening, litter reduction/collection and recycling/waste reduction, Keep Golden Isles Beautiful and its thousands of volunteers help make our "own backyard" the very best it can be.
“For over forty years, KGIB has made a positive difference in our community,” said Clement Cullens, KGIB Board chairperson. “During 2021, KGIB volunteers were responsible for removing 53 tons of litter and 55 tons of recyclables from our roadways, parks, beaches and public spaces and contributed 7,000+ hours of volunteer service. This fundraiser assures the continuation of our many programs and services on which the community depends.”
