Volunteers Needed in November 16th Boat Ramp Cleanups
BRUNSWICK, GA (October 31, 2019) – Join Keep Golden Isles Beautiful in a boat ramp litter removal effort as part of the Rivers Alive fall cleanup initiative. Eight local boat ramp/adjoining area cleanups will be conducted on Saturday, November 16th at 9:00 AM and volunteer help is crucial. All land litter removed will directly prevent marine debris and help keep local waters and marshes clean and trash free. All ages and abilities are welcome and all supplies will be provided. Closed toed shoes, bug spray and sun screen is recommended. Rivers Alive t-shirts are available to pre-registered volunteers while supplies last.
Cleanup areas include: Turtle River Bridge north; Turtle River Bridge south; Village Creek/Harrington boat ramp; MacKay River Bridge west; MacKay River Bridge east; Hwy 17 south boat ramp; Hwy 99 boat ramp; and Blythe Island Beach Drive boat ramp.
