Are there stand-alone recycling facilities my business can go to drop-off recyclable materials?
Yes, however Keep Golden Isles Beautiful recommends that you call the facility in advance to verify type of materials accepted.  A list of drop-off sites and their locations is below:

How can my business recycle if we have space limitations for recycling  containers?
If you are a business that generates a large volume of materials, it may be difficult to find a space on your property or in your building to gather recyclable materials. Businesses located in business parks, or close to other businesses, can look into forming partnerships and sharing a recycling container with others nearby.

Are there service providers who will pick-up recycling materials from my  business directly, including materials such as old office paper, junk mail,  magazines, newspapers, cardboard, plastics, etc.?

Where can my business take office supplies such as printer cartridges, toner, old computers, etc. to be recycled?
Some stores that sell office supplies will usually take printer cartridges to be recycled.  For further information, businesses may contact Staples, Office Depot or similar businesses.

To recycle small quantities of used electronics, contact Keep Golden Isles Beautiful 
To recycle larger quantities of used electronics (computers, copy machines, etc.), please call Keep Golden Isles Beautiful or donate your used working electronics to a non-profit agency.  For information on how to recycle toner, contact our offices.

Are there recycling services that will shred sensitive materials?  
Yes, Record Services, Inc. in Brunswick will shred sensitive materials; 912.280.9686.
Companies outside our immediate area will also shred and recycle sensitive materials. Depending on the volume, they may also pickup your materials.

What is my role as a business to recycle?  
As a business, it is up to you to recycle as much as you can in a way that is cost efficient to you. It is important for businesses to create an environment that encourages their workers to become enthusiastic about recycling. Setting standards for employee recycling, and creating easily accessible recycling areas on your premises, greatly improves the chances of success for your recycling program.
