KGIB Seeks Volunteers to Assist with Ft. Frederica and Bloody Marsh National Monument Garbage and Litter Removal Efforts

BRUNSWICK, GA (January 07, 2019) – To address outward impacts of the current federal government shutdown, Keep America Beautiful and its local affiliates across the nation are assisting the National Park Service in garbage and litter removal activities.

Keep Golden Isles Beautiful is seeking volunteers to assist with such activities at Ft. Frederica and Bloody Marsh National Monuments on St. Simons Island.

“This is an opportunity for our community to step up and assist our wonderful local national monuments. Together we can ensure that these treasured locations remain clean, green and beautiful for all who visit them,” said KGIB executive director Lea King-Badyna. “Interested volunteers can contact KGIB to join the volunteer roster and be oriented to the collection process.”

Contact KGIB at 279-1490 or info.kbgib@gmail.com for more info and/or to join the volunteer roster.
