BRUNSWICK, GA (October 30, 2019) – Keep Golden Isles Beautiful and local BB&T branches are again partnering to host a community paper shred event on Saturday, November 9th. “We are pleased to announce that for a second year BB&T will be partnering with Keep Golden Isles Beautiful and Iron Mountain to hold our annual free Community Document Shred Day,” said BB&T Senior Vice President Lance Turpin.  “As fraud continues to rise, we believe this annual event will help our local businesses and individual clients reduce their exposure to fraud and identity theft.  We will have a truck at both the St Simons Island and Brunswick BB&T branch locations and welcome everyone in the community to drop off their shred!”

ACCEPTED: shred items include: any color office paper; any color file folders; staples, paper clips, rubber bands and small binders do not need to be removed. NOT ACCEPTED: cardboard; common trash; hazardous materials; plastics or metals; CDs and DVDs. LIMIT: 10 boxes per auto.

“KGIB is excited to partner with BB&T in providing this Fall sensitive document shredding opportunity in our community,” said Keep Golden Isles Beautiful executive director Lea King-Badyna. “Partnerships like this are key to a clean and green Golden Isles.”
