Tree Buddy Volunteers Recognized 

BRUNSWICK, GA (December 10, 2018) — Keep Golden Isles Beautiful and Glynn County public works recently recognized KGIB Tree Buddy volunteers with a celebration of their effort. Tree Buddy volunteers agreed to water one of 52 replacement live oak trees, three times a week, 15 gallons of water each time, for an entire year – no small task!. Twenty-six trees were maintained by 13 dedicated Tree Buddy groups and individuals: Judy Tooke, Candace and Howard Jordan, Sue Rinehard, Dianne Smoot, Tripp Fowler, Bill Hilton, Live Oak Consulting Services LLC, LPT Training Solutions LLC,  James P. Diskin family, Ameris Bank, the Associates of Sea Palms Resort, Girl Scout Troop 30015, Genevieve O’Neil and Glynn County 4-H. The replacement trees were funded by a $15,000 Keep America Beautiful tree restoration grant.
